Specific Beliefs that have shaped the Hill Ministry:
We believe that "Organized Religion" has become too materialistic.
We believe that too much focus is place on building buildings.
We believe that tradition has trumped the Word of God within the mainstream denominations.
We believe that socializing has replaced biblical fellowship in many religious organizations.
We believe that many mainstream religious organizations have forsaken spiritual growth for numerical growth.
We believe that worship has been replaced with emotional musical productions within many religious organizations.
We believe that monetary input is only one dimension to sharing and that God wants us to share our entire souls, hearts and minds.
We believe that Biblical Studies are the foundation or building block to any church service or ministry.
BELIEFS REGARDING OUR FAITH:
What We Believe About God
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, and infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is "I AM", the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love. that in the unity of the Godhead there are three expressions of God, the Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but totally harmonious offices in the great work of
redemption.
The Written Word of God
We believe that the Word of God was transcribed by men divinely inspired and has been translated into the KJV of the Bible. When read by Faith The Written Word of God is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; that it has God for its author, salvation for its end; and truth without any mixture of error for its matter, that it reveals the principles by which God will judge us; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the world, the true center of union for Disciples of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried. The Word of God is an enabler of discernment regarding acts of the Holy Spirit.
The Fall of Man
We believe that God created Adam and Eve perfect. We believe that Adam sinned and as a result things have slowing been getting worse and worse. This is why the environment sucks and this is why children are born with genetic deformities. We are not born "good" contrary to popular public opinion. We are born selfish and broken but we are too ignorant to know better.
The Way
Jesus Christ was provided by Grace. By a simple belief in his birth, life, death and resurrection, we can be saved from our sinful state of existence.We didn't deserve Jesus but the Father sent Him because He loves us. Jesus was our perfect example so He was qualified in every way to be a suitable, a compassionate and all sufficient Savior.
